There are 3 types of Hiking in the Sims 4. With Hike Around, you can make your Sim hike randomly, without any destination or a set trail, Hike Scenic Loop, as you can tell by the name, allows your Sim to enjoy scenic hiking trails and then return back to the Hiking Board, and lastly, the Hike to X allows you to take your Sim to set a landmark from the 6 option in 2 neighborhoods.

You can have your Sim hike all the way to the Cave Statue. You’ll reach the Cave Statue with 3 monkeys. Once you get there, you can take pictures, shout and then listen to your echo, or make an offering at the cave of good fortune.

Hiking Trail to the Natural Cove

Another hiking trail in the Sims 4 is to the Natural Cove. At this spot, you can find various digging spots where you’ll find valuable rocks and other items.

What Makes Hiking in the Sims 4 So Exciting?

If you’re wondering where’s the fun in hiking alone, you better be prepared for lots of surprises (that will catch you off guard).

You’ll encounter lots of creatures, some you may be able to recognize, and others will leave you shocked. Ensure your Sim is equipped with some effective bug repellants because you’ll encounter active wildlife throughout your hike.

Denkimushi

Be prepared to face an attack by Denkimushi. This is something you wouldn’t want to encounter again. Your Sim will be dazed for a good 4 hours after the encounter with Denkimushi. Not only will you need a jar full of crawling critter powder to help you manage the pain, but you’ll also need to make sure your Sim is fit and skillful.

Giant Hornets

Okay, this sounds absolutely creepy, and it is too! You might encounter giant hornets that will be ready to sting your Sim. If they do, your Sim will be dazed for a while. Your Sim will have to work with logic to protect itself from the hornet. An emergency emetic potion will also help your Sim manage the pain.

Bats and Fireflies

Bats and fireflies won’t harm your Sim, but you should still expect them to appear anytime during your hike!
